DOVER, Ohio — Services were held last month for James A. “Jim” Stoll, a former Giant Eagle operator and retail association executive, who died at age 70 after a battle with throat cancer. Before becoming a Giant Eagle operator, Stoll launched and operated Stoll's Country Cupboards in several Ohio towns. He retired in 2007. He served on several association boards, including the National Association of Retail Grocers of the U.S., the East Central Ohio Food Dealers and the National Grocers Association. He is survived by his wife, Cindi, five daughters, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
