WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee here has formed a partnership with Dorothy Lane Markets to offer that chain’s famous “Killer Brownie” line in its stores, Hy-Vee executives told SN on Monday.

The massive (nearly 1/3 lb.), multi-layer brownies will be offered in Hy-Vee’s new Urbandale, Iowa, store, which opens Tuesday, and will be rolled out to additional locations in the chain.

Dorothy Lane Markets operates three stores in the Dayton, Ohio, area, and also offers the brownies online for shipping elsewhere in the country. Other retailers that have added the Killer Brownie line include Lunds/Byerly’s in Minneapolis, Martin’s Super Markets in Indiana, and others.

The total line includes about 10 varieties.
