A Mariano’s location opening tomorrow in Westchester, Ill., will feature an in-store test concept from cupcake retailer Crumbs Bake Shop.

The “sweet and snack bar” will offer 25 flavors of Crumbs cupcakes and 15 types of brownies.

“We approached Mariano’s because of their outstanding commitment to grocery quality, merchandising and customer satisfaction. Mariano’s is my favorite local grocery store and it made sense to partner these two great brands together. We are excited to begin testing this concept with them at the Westchester, Ill., location, and we are looking forward to expanding the Crumbs brand offering in the near future,” said Crumbs owner Marcus Lemonis.

Lemonis and Fischer Enterprises, owner of Dippin’ Dots, purchased Crumbs in July after the chain closed all of its stores.

The Westchester Mariano’s will also contain an in-store grill, Todds BBQ restaurant, an oyster bar and a wine bar with cold beer on tap.

The store is the last former Dominick’s location of the 11 purchased in Dec. 2013 to receive the Mariano’s treatment.
