WASHINGTON — The United Fresh Produce Association is seeking nominations for the 2013 Retail Produce Manager Award.
The 25 award winners will be presented at the United Fresh 2013 Convention in San Diego on May 14-16 at an award dinner. The celebrated produce managers will receive free registration to the conference as well as airfare and lodging to attend.
Nomination forms can be downloaded online.
The award winners are judged based on community service, customer satisifaction, merchandising and peer recognition.
United Fresh offers these awards because the organization realized that produce managers “are the face of produce” to customers, Victoria Backer, senior vice president of member services and the United Fresh Foundation, told SN last summer.
