ISSAQUAH, Wash. -- Costco Wholesale here said it opened its first two membership warehouses in Texas last week.
in East Plano. These warehouses will be Costco's 240th in the U.S. and 335th worldwide.
The company said it plans to open three more units in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (in Arlington, West Plano and Southlake) as well as three others elsewhere in Texas (two in Houston and one in Austin) in spring 2001.
Featured departments include bakery, meat,produce, full-service gourmet deli, optical department with optometrist, one-hour photo, pharmacy, tire center, food court, coffee roasting, rotisserie chicken and gas station.
