TROY, Mich. -- Kmart Management Corp. here said last week it has named Ed Barclay vice president of asset protection, effective immediately. Barclay, formerly vice president, asset protection at Sears, Roebuck & Co., Hoffman Estates, Ill., will report to Julian C. Day, Kmart's president and chief executive officer. In his new position, Barclay will be responsible for all aspects of risk management, including loss prevention, food safety, corporate safety, check recovery services, investigations and asset protection training and information.
