Young Customers to Represent Safeway Organics Line

An Oregon baby and a Texas toddler will adorn the packaging of Safeway’s O Organics for Baby and O Organics for Toddler products.

PLEASANTON, Calif. — An Oregon baby and a Texas toddler will adorn the packaging of Safeway’s O Organics for Baby and O Organics for Toddler products. Eleven-month-old Matthew Zipper of Portland was chosen for the O Organics for Baby line, and 2-year-old Presley Parsons of Austin for O Organics for Toddler. Both youngsters won a photo contest to have their pictures on packaging and in-store print advertising. The children’s families will each receive $1,000 in Safeway gift cards. “We were thrilled to offer our shoppers the chance to be involved with the launch of our new line of O Organics products for babies and toddlers,” said Larree Renda, Safeway executive vice president and contest judge. “We are excited for the families and that their adorable children will be the new faces of our wholesome and affordable organic brand.” Safeway launched the 40-item line of O Organics for Baby and Toddler in April. Formula, cereal, baby food and snacks are among the products offered.
