SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion is appealing to wine drinkers by awarding a trip for two to the Napa Valley. Shoppers can enter the "Perfect Pairings" sweepstakes online once a week through July 13 at foodlion.com.
To enter, they need to provide their name, address, email, loyalty card number and other data. By providing their email, they agree to receive Food Lion's "Shopper's Companion" newsletter. The grand prize is a three-day, two-night trip for two to Napa Valley. Other prizes include a three- day, two-night trip package for two to a winery in North Carolina; and a $500 Food Lion gift card.
Along with the sweepstakes, the promotion includes wine pairing suggestions at foodlion.com. Each week, a different wine is paired with a main dish and cheese. This week, Matthew Fox chardonnay is paired with pasta as a main course and Monterey Jack.
