NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — A Lowes Foods store here is being converted to the chain’s new discount banner, Just$ave, with a grand opening set for Aug. 3, according to local reports.
The store would be the third to open under the Just$ave name, after Lowes debuted the format in February in Pilot Mountain, N.C., and added a second unit near Graham, N.C., in May.
“The store will offer many great ways to save, including a Dollar Spot aisle, wall of values and bins of savings,” Debbie Williams, a spokeswoman for Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Lowes Foods told the Wilkes (County) Journal-Patriot, noting that the store will feature store brands such as Lowes Foods, Better Valu and Top Care.
The store will also highlight best-in-category “blue ribbon products,” including fried chicken, sweet tea, apple pie, pound cake, fresh ground sausage and other ready-made offerings, the newspaper said.
A spokeswoman for Lowes Foods confirmed that the store would close July 24 and reopen July 29 under the Just$ave banner.
