PASADENA, Calif. — The Western Association of Food Chains here said Lynn Gust, executive vice president, merchandising and advertising, Fred Meyer Inc., Portland, Ore., has been elected president of the association.
Fred Meyer is a division of Kroger Co., Cincinnati. Serving with Gust for the 2011-2012 year will be Sue Klug, president of the Southern California division of Albertsons, as WAFC vice president; Steve Junqueiro, president and chief operating officer of Save Mart Supermarkets, Modesto, Calif., as secretary; and Oscar Gonzalez, co-president of Northgate Gonzalez Markets, Anaheim, Calif., as treasurer.
