BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Wal-Mart Stores here has expanded the assortment of products available for direct purchase through its website to include a large selection of household goods and pet products.
As of last week, customers can order cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and paper and plastic products (including toilet paper and trash bags) for home delivery.
In addition, an extensive variety of pet foods — segmented by dogs, cats and smaller pets — and related items, such as treats and feeding supplies, also are available to purchase online for home delivery, as of last week.
The new household and pet items join a limited assortment of consumable grocery products already available on the site, including bulk cereal and a few snack items.
