GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Fresh Market here said Thursday it has reached an agreement with Burris Logistics for Burris to provide inventory management, warehousing and transportation services for the next four years.

The current contract between the upscale food retailer and Milford, Del.-based Burris was set to expire in February 2012.

The new agreement provides that Burris may begin to utilize a second distribution center in the mid-Atlantic region in 2012 to service The Fresh Market. It also provides for revised pricing and other financial terms, the retailer said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The new agreement replaces an agreement in principle the two companies had entered into on Sept. 30.
