WASHINGTON - Researchers, analysts and executives from the country's leading food suppliers enjoyed a relaxing reception at the Grocery Manufacturers Association's first annual Conference on the Future of Food, held here at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Seminars and presentations at the three-day, information-packed show covered a wide range of topics - from discussions about what food makers are currently doing to address the nation's obesity problem, to how the science of nutrigenomics may ultimately allow companies to tailor foods specifically to an individual's DNA profile.
