BURBANK, Calif. - "Martha's Summer Favorites," the newest DVD title from Warner Home Video here and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, New York, provides 21 barbecue and grill recipes and 24 projects for summer activities and entertaining. Timed to coincide with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's summer issue of "Kids" magazine, this two-disc set will be supported by a consumer advertising and publicity campaign on Martha Stewart television, at marthastewart.com and in Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia publications.

Going Bananas

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Hostess here is promoting the March 28 release of Peter Jackson's "King Kong" on DVD from Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Universal City, Calif., with limited-edition banana creme-filled Twinkies and Banana Nut Mini Muffins. Special-edition packaging will appear on multi-packs and snack packages of both banana-flavored treats. The promotion will be supported by print, freestanding inserts, online advertising and in-store "King Kong" displays. Hostess is also kicking off the "Go Bananas" sweepstakes where consumers can win Kong-sized prizes including a trip to Universal Studios and prize packs including a variety of King Kong and Hostess merchandise. The promotion runs from late this month through April 22.

NEW YORK - Quince Media this month launched a magazine to provide the 400,000 Hispanic females turning 15 every year with a comprehensive resource for planning their quincea±era, the Hispanic tradition associated with a young woman's emergence into adulthood. "Quince Girl" offers girls and their families fashion spreads on the latest styles, stories of real life quincea±eras, articles on Hispanic traditions, and timelines for planning a celebration. "Quince Girl" is doing the checkout programs at H.E. Butt Grocery, Ralphs, Stater Bros. and Wal-Mart. In addition, "Quince Girl" will be supported by a national print and broadcast consumer campaign, according to the company.
