As one of the top-selling deli/meals items, rotisserie chicken deserves a little star treatment.

Carla Fitzgerald Williams, an IDDBA member, and overworked mother of two young children, had convenience in mind when she wrote "Rotisserie Chickens to the Rescue!" Copies of the book were on display in a self-merchandiser in the Show & Sell Center, set right up against an island case that displayed ribs, rotisserie turkey and rotisserie chicken.
Williams thought of writing a cookbook during an especially harried day and figured other busy people might like to put some dishes on the table that have homemade panache but are not too time-consuming to make.
With recipes like Hurry Curry, creamy wild rice-leek-chicken soup and Brunswick stew, they can do it in no time flat, Williams said.
