SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Stater Bros. Markets here said Monday it plans to kick off its 75th anniversary celebration by providing commemorative lapel pins to its 18,000 employees.

The company also said it plans to team up with the supplier community "to provide valuable promotions and savings every month" at its stores, and that it plans to publish a hard-cover anniversary journal that will illustrate the company's history from a single small neighborhood grocery store to a chain of 167 markets.

"This milestone is certainly a testament to the loyalty and dedication of all the past and present members of our Stater Bros.
