FMI’s Sarasin, GMA’s Bailey Elected to GS1 US Board

Leslie G. Sarasin, president and chief executive officer of the Food Marketing Institute, and Pamela G. Bailey, president and CEO of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, have been elected to the board of governors of GS1 US, the supply chain standards organization.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Leslie G. Sarasin, president and chief executive officer of the Food Marketing Institute, and Pamela G. Bailey, president and CEO of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, have been elected to the board of governors of GS1 US, the supply chain standards organization based here.

“Pam and Leslie represent two important business constituencies, and will be extremely valuable voices on the GS1 US Board of Governors,” said Bob Carpenter, CEO of GS1 US, in a statement. “They bring a breadth of perspectives and experience that will help ensure GS1 US remains on the leading edge of thought and innovation in the supply chain, from production to the point of sale.”

The board includes executives from Coca-Cola, CVS/pharmacy, Johnson & Johnson, Kroger, McKesson, the Premier healthcare alliance, Procter & Gamble, Publix Super Markets, Sam’s Club, J.M. Smucker, Unilever, and Wegmans Food Markets, in addition to executives from GS1, GS1 Australia, and GS1 Canada.
