MinuteClinic Scores High in Community Health Care Report

MINNEAPOLIS - MinuteClinic retail health care centers in the Minneapolis area received a 100% rating for the testing and treatment of pediatric pharyngitis or "sore throat" in the new "MN Community Measurement 2006 Health Care Quality Report," MinuteClinic said yesterday. The report is a collaboration of the state's health plans and the Minnesota Medical Association. The ratings are based on the percentage of children from ages 2 to 8 who were diagnosed with pharyngitis during the measurement year (2005), prescribed an antibiotic on or within three days of the episode and received a streptococcus test from three days prior to three days after the episode date.
