A&P has launched a fee-based membership club for diabetics.
Shoppers who join the “The Live Better Diabetic Program” for $15.99 receive a welcome kit that includes an Easy Touch Meter with a new lancing device and cable for computerized tracking/record keeping, 50 test strips, 100 lancets and a carrying case, according to company Facebook posts.
If purchased separately, the featured items would cost a total of $87.85, according to A&P promotional materials.
Members also receive a quarterly e-newsletter, coupons and diabetic recipes. The program is available in A&P’s Waldbaums, Pathmark and other banners.
