Canada Supreme Court Denies Wal-Mart Bias Appeal

The Supreme Court of Canada here has declined to hear Wal-Mart’s charges of bias in the Saskatchewan Labor Board.

REGINA, Saskatchewan — The Supreme Court of Canada here has declined to hear Wal-Mart’s charges of bias in the Saskatchewan Labor Board. Wal-Mart, Bentonville, Ark., had asked the Supreme Court for an appeal after two lower courts ruled against the retailer due to lack of evidence. Wal-Mart, according to reports, had asked the court to prevent the Saskatchewan Labor Board from making any judgments on Wal-Mart, claiming board members were biased against the retailer.
