SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Grocers Association here said Wednesday it has named Keri Askew Bailey senior vice president, government relations and public policy, a new position.
Bailey joined CGA as vice president, government relations, in 2009. In her new position, she will assume responsibility for creating and managing an aggressive public policy program through the development and facilitation of coalitions with CGA members, ally associations, chambers of commerce and other interested parties, CGA said.
She will also assist in implementing and administering the association's biennial strategic plan, and be responsible for industry issues management, grassroots member outreach and fund-raising, as well as directing research to develop position statements and political initiative campaigns and developing ways to effectively communicate complicated issues to disparate audiences and constituencies.

"This new position reflects the association's ongoing commitment to expanding its membership offerings."
