DENVER — King Soopers will build an urban-style downtown grocery store here, according to the Denver Business Journal.
The store will be built on the ground floor of a mixed-use apartment building to be constructed at 20th Street and Chestnut Place in Denver’s Union Station district. Developer plans call for a 42,000-square-foot store in the complex, although King Soopers officials quoted in the article said the company was still determining the format for the store.
Spokespeople for King Soopers, a division of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., and developer Nichols Partnership were not immediately available for comment Friday.
