ORLANDO, Fla. — Jeff Noddle (center), executive chairman of Supervalu, received the Sidney R. Rabb Award at Food Marketing Institute's Midwinter Executive Conference here last week. He was joined on the stage by Hy-Vee's Ric Jurgens (left), who is FMI board chair, and Leslie Sarasin, FMI's president and CEO. FMI also presented the Herbert Hoover Award to Gary Phillips, retired president and CEO of Associated Wholesale Grocers, Kansas City, Kan., and the William H. Albers Industry Relations Award to Donald R. “Don” Knauss, chairman and CEO of The Clorox Co. FMI posthumously named Samuel Randolph “Randy” Roberts, the former director of government relations at Publix Super Markets, the winner of the Glen P. Woodard Jr. Public Affairs Award.
