COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Grocers Association here said Friday it has formed the OGA Government Affairs Committee to keep members updated on legislative and regulatory matters.
OGA said it also plans to use the committee for guidance and direction on policy matters.
"It is our hope this committee will provide increased value to [members] by giving direct access to OGA's lobbyists and also a direct path to making your voice heard in Columbus and Washington D.C.," Nate Filler, OGA president and chief executive officer, said in an announcement to members.
According to Filler, the committee will hold a conference call every other Friday morning. In the weeks between conference calls, OGA will produce a new e-bulletin that shares current legislative and regulatory issues, including a listing of bills the association is tracking, for member review.
