MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. said Monday it has begun recruiting hourly workers for its first 24 stores in Canada, which are scheduled to open in March and April of 2013.
Target, which plans to open about 130 stores in Canada through the previously reported acquisition of Zellers locations, said it is already hiring store leadership positions and would focus on hourly personnel. Each store will employ 150 to 200 people. Target said it was looking specifically for sales floor, front end, asset protection, facilities management and human resources positions.
The company is also seeking pharmacy franchise owners to own and operate pharmacy businesses within as many stores as possible.
