ASSOCIATED GROCERS OF SEATTLE NAMES VP OF FRESH FOODS
SEATTLE - Associated Grocers has appointed a longtime veteran of food retailing to the position of vice president of perishables. Carl Morley, who has more than 30 years in the supermarket industry, replaces Joel Barton, who accepted a position at West Sacramento, Calif.-based Raley's, one of Barton's former employers. Most recently, Morley was the meat and deli meat department director for Super Saver Foods, a division of Albertsons. He reports to John Runyan, president and chief executive officer of AG.
