ZAANDAM, Netherlands -- Ahold here has made Jim Lawler chief human resource officer. He succeeds Arthur Brouwer, who was named chief business support officer for the company. In his new position, Lawler will be responsible for management development, hiring, payroll and benefits, and supervisory changes. Prior to this position, he was the chief human resource officer at Ahold USA, Chantilly, Va. Lawler started at Ahold in 1999 as executive vice president of human resources for Giant-Landover. Before that, he held posts at Rexam PLC, PepsiCo and Nordson.
