Sara Lee Deli Adds to Line
Lee Deli here has added rotisserie-ready chicken products to its expanding portfolio of products for deli operations.
Besides chicken, the supplier has also introduced rotisserie-ready pork, premium presliced meats and fat-free turkey products.
The rotisserie products include rotisserie-ready boneless breast of turkey and rotisserie-ready boneless pork roast. The meats are prepared with spices and other rotisserie flavorings. The products are then cooked on-site at supermarkets.
One serving of either variety is enough to feed a family of four, according to the company.
The additions to the presliced premium deli meats line include oven-roasted breast of turkey, honey roasted breast of turkey, honey roasted turkey ham and honey ham.
The fat-free turkey products are available under the Bil Mar Signature line, and include peppered breast of turkey, honey breast of turkey and hardwood smoked breast of turkey.
Rotisserie Equipment Is Offered
VERDI, Nev. -- Crispy Lite here, a supplier of customized food programs, has added six-bird and 15-bird rotisseries to its line of equipment.
The BMJ-6 Bird rotisserie is made of stainless steel and features a three-sided glass front area, with rear loading. The rotisserie includes a two-hour timer and main power switch. At the end of a cooking cycle, the rotisserie enters a "hold" mode.
The BMJ-15 Bird rotisserie is made of heavy-gauge stainless steel. The rotisserie includes a glass front door and magnetic latching and a safety-door switch. The thermal system combines radiant and high-speed air impingement cooking technologies.
John Morrell Adds Combo Pack
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- John Morrell Foodservice here has introduced a combination deli pack for food-service operations.
The combo deli pack includes bologna, salami and chopped ham, stack packed in one case. A package contains 4 pounds of each variety. Each meat is sliced in half-ounce portions, packed 32 slices to the pound and vacuum packaged.
