DeMarinis Joins Allegiance in Merchandising Role

ISELIN, N.J. — Allegiance Retail Services here on Friday said that it has appointed Bernard DeMarinis to the position of reset coordinator of dairy/frozen.

In this position, DeMarinis will serve as liaison between Allegiance and its member stores. He will be responsible for merchandising the dairy and frozen departments of existing and new stores, as well as maintaining planograms, and handling resets and store conversions.

DeMarinis’ career in the supermarket industry began as a frozen food and store night manager. Over the next 24 years, he worked for the Boerner Co., A.B.D. and Merket-Metro. His most recent position was a merchandising specialist for the Acosta Sales & Marketing, where he supported many large food retailers, including Allegiance stores.

“Bernie’s past experience and solid understanding of our members’ needs will be a great value to Allegiance as we continue our expansion into various markets,” Michael Stolarz, president and chief operating officer of Allegiance Retail Services, said. “I am proud to have him on our team.”

Allegiance provides purchasing and other services for the Foodtown banner and other retailers in the Northeast.
