SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Along with its involvement on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and other social media, Price Chopper is now using Instagram as a promotional tool.
The retailer has launched a football-themed promo on the photo-sharing site. To enter, contestants submit a photo of football-related recipes, clothing or family outings, and Instagram it using the hashtag #PCFootballContest.
One grand-prize winner will receive a flat screen TV, courtesy of Unilever. Ten other winners will get $200 worth of corporate-brand coupons.

Contestants can email photos to p[email protected] if they do not have an Instagram account.
“Do you have a delicious snack you always make for football games, a jersey you always wear, or any fun traditions you and your family do for each game,” Price Chopper wrote in a Facebook post announcing the contest. “We want to see them.”
The contest runs through Jan. 21.
