BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The judge in Belle Foods’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy case has approved the appointment of J. Jette Campbell of the Carl Marks Advisory Group to serve as chief restructuring officer of the retailer.
Campbell, a former executive with Pepsi and Frito-Lay, will oversee the sale of Belle’s 44 stores and take over for father-and-son operators Bill and Jeff White, who agreed last week to step aside as part of a financing deal arranged with Belle’s supplier, C&S Wholesale Grocers.
Campbell was to begin work Monday.
