The FMI event marks the event’s return to Chicago, its longtime home, and a resumption of annual frequency.
SN will once again produce and distribute the official show daily print magazine, called FMI Connect Daily, that leverages the reporting expertise of SN’s veteran editorial team. The effort also will benefit from the show daily experience of SN’s parent company, Penton.
SN’s coverage of FMI Connect will also leverage the magazine’s multi-platform capabilities. Plans call for digital distribution of the show dailies; real-time news posts via SN’s website and mobile platforms; daily news dissemination through SN’s e-newsletter; social media feeds on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn; video interviews with industry leaders via SN Total Access video, and pre- and post-show reporting in SN’s biweekly magazine.
Coverage of the event will include reporting on research and information from educational sessions, innovative ideas and concepts from the exhibit floor, insights from the large gathering of retailers and suppliers, and news emerging from special events at FMI Connect, including the Supermarket Chef Showdown and FMI Retail Experience of the Future. “Our partnership with SN strengthens our ability to relay the multi-dimensional nature of FMI Connect,” said Leslie G. Sarasin, FMI’s president and CEO. “An event of this magnitude, with so many moving parts — educational content, show-floor activities, social events and special industry celebrations — requires the media expertise offered by SN to help keep attendees and the broader industry audience aware of all that is taking place.”
Jerry Rymont, SN’s publisher, said, “We couldn’t be more pleased to once again be partnering with FMI on the show daily and related initiatives. We are looking forward to FMI Connect and SN’s role in helping to make it a big success.”
SN’s sales and marketing teams will oversee advertising and promotion for the show daily and related products. For more information, contact Jerry Rymont at 216-931-9720; or email [email protected].
