SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here on Wednesday said that it has appointed Gretchen Suydan as its new director of marketing.
Suydan most recently was director of marketing and advertising for Farm Fresh, the Supervalu division in Virginia Beach. At Weis, Suydan assumes responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of go-to-market strategies designed to grow sales, increase new customer acquisition, and drive customer retention. She reports to Brian Holt, vice president, advertising, marketing and public relations.
Weis also on Wednesday said it has promoted Brian Bosworth to sales director and Maria Panko to private brands manager.

Bosworth previously was a category manager. As sales manager, he will take on an expanded role to help develop and implement center store sales building programs and initiatives.
Panko previously was a Center Store category manager. In her new role Panko will oversee the product development and sales and marketing for more than 6,300 private brand products.
