The retailer said its has signed a lease to locate the store at the former Lord’s Department Store site in Medfield. The as-yet-unnamed concept, which will emphasize convenient neighborhood shopping and service, is expected to open in February.

According to a presentation by Gary Pfeil, Roche Bros. president, the store would feature “unique offerings, including artisanal products, prepared foods, baked goods, and seasonal and exotic produce, only available at specialty stores or not available at all, provided at [a store] offering convenience and unparalleled customer service.”

SN reported last year that the company was seeking locations for the new, small-format store.
