WASHINGTON (FNS) -- The Food and Drug Administration is expected to grant roughly 2,000 requests from food manufacturers to delay until Aug. 8 their compliance with the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act. The extension is designed to allow companies to use up their surplus of packaging that doesn't carry the newly required nutrition label.
