WOOSTER, Ohio — Buehler’s Fresh Foods is taking a page out of Publix’s book with new buy the national brand, get the private label equivalent free, promotions.
This week Buehler’s shoppers who purchased Domino Cane Sugar, 5-pound for $2.44, received its Our Family Granulated Sugar, 5-pound, for free.
The deal follows similar promotions involving Heinz Ketchup, 40-ounces, and Jiff Peanut Butter, 18-ounces, according to reports.
The Buehler’s offers differ from the Publix Brand Challenge in that Buehler’s is advertising relevant national brands as discounted. Also, Publix offers three pairs of promoted items during each week of its promotion, Buehler's offers one.
