Cincinnati Kroger Workers OK Contract

Union workers of Kroger have approved a new three-year contract, the retailer said Friday.

CINCINNATI — Union workers of Kroger here have approved a new three-year contract, the retailer said Friday.

The new agreement covers more than 12,000 employees working at 76 Kroger stores and 39 fuel stations in metro Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 75.

“Kroger and the UFCW worked together to reach an agreement that provides our associates the best total compensation package in our industry in Cincinnati," Geoff Covert, president of Kroger's Cincinnati/Dayton division, said in a statement. “The three-year agreement provides good wages, high-quality affordable health care and a pension for associates when they retire.”
