LAKEWOOD, Calif. — The Western Association of Food Chains here said the Colorado Community College System is joining community colleges in other Western states to offer a retail management certificate program.

The certificate program was established in 2000 to help provide food industry workers with the tools and credits they need to continue their education. It involves a 10-course curriculum that provides content that applies to all segments of the retail food industry.

The Colorado Community College System joins other colleges in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming that offer the certificate program.
