PITTSBURGH — This month through Aug. 26, Giant Eagle here is re-running its back-to-school gift card program linked to fuelperks! rewards discounts.
Consumers who purchase gift cards from some 130 merchants, representing various retail segments, can earn 20 cents off a gallon of gas for every $50 spent on purchasing the gift cards. For even more savings, consumers can save 10 cents off a gallon of gas for $50 spent on the gift cards. The gift cards can be ordered online or purchased in store.
The fuelperks! rewards are redeemed at GetGo fuel and c-store locations. Blackhawk Network, a subsidiary of Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., supplies prepaid gift cards to Giant Eagle.
