SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- SN has named Stater Bros. Markets here the winner of its 2010 Community Service Award.
"We are a hometown company, and our philosophy from the very beginning of the corporation has been that we don't just do business in the community but rather we are part of the community, and that's something we believe in very strongly," said Jack Brown, chairman and chief executive officer of the 167-store chain.
Stater Bros.' community involvement spans a wide range of areas, from food banks to local and national charities.
