SALT LAKE CITY — Macey's and Dan's Market— two corporate chains owned by Associated Retail Stores, a division of Associated Food Stores here — will donate food to the athletes, officials and volunteers participating in the annual Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah, a professional cycling event.

The companies said they will donate 450 sack lunches on each day of the event, which begins Tuesday and runs through Sunday. Each lunch includes a sandwich, chips, cookies, fruit and water.

The Tour of Utah is one of the top three stage races for road cycling in North America. It includes 16 top-level professional teams competing, five of which recently completed in the Tour de France.
