It’s official
Officials cut the ribbon to open the new United flagship in Amarillo. The opening ceremony featured comments by Robert Taylor, president of United Supermarkets, and Gary Molberg, president and CEO of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce.
New design
The 55,00-square-foot store features several new design elements, including separate entrances and exits. A United Express c-store is also on the site.

The new store features an expanded selection of bulk offerings, which are touted as a customizable option to fit consumers’ budgets.
Meat matters
A Texas-sized meat department at the new Amarillo location.
Rx options
The store includes drive-through pharmacy access in addition to the in-store pharmacy location and a Care Xpress walk-in health clinic.
A tree grows in … Amarillo?
A signature design element of the store is a tree that branches out over the produce department, which is located at the entrance to the store, along with floral.
Cash for kids
United representatives presented a contribution of $50,000 to High Plains Food Bank, benefiting Kids Cafe.
